Pilato seems to be cursed, or worse, typecast. He has played villainous or unlikable characters in the past. For this film he was chosen to play the main villain of the story, remarkably. Most of the time he sounds aloof in the film, but he ranges between edgy (when Vincent is around) and deviously interested (when Veronica is around). The character is the complete opposite of Pilato. In real life, Pilato is very friendly, and would never hurt a fly.
