I have been here at SWC for 2 1/2 years. I've been web enhancing my classes for about 5 years and have taught two online classes. I will be teaching two more this semester. I have a certificate in online learning and teaching from California State University, Hayward and teach "Clicks Gone Berserk"; Teaching and Learning Online, an online course for instructors through Staff Development. |

ESL and Languages
Instructor I am an assistant professor of ESL and Portuguese and have been working with web-enhanced classes for 2 1/2 years now. I am in my last semester of a doctoral program in Education where I have taken two online classes and produced a brief study on the history of online teaching. My focus is on how to use pedagogically sound teaching strategies in online environments as well as how to use software programs for students' self reflection. |

I have been teaching at SWC since 1991 in the Criminal Justice program. Before that I was teaching at Palomar College as adjunct in their CJ program and I was the coordinator of the Police Academy for Palomar. Before that I was a police officer for 17 years. |
