National Grandparents Day
President Jimmy Carter, in 1978, proclaimed that National Grandparents
Day would be celebrated
every year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. This is the official
site of the holiday, owned by the daughter of founder Marian
H. McQuade.
A yearly contest is held where dozens of entries are accepted for
Grandparents of the year. You can find many creative entries in a
variety of subjects. |

This is the sister site of the Grandparents Day home page.
Recently it was reorganized to load faster and to find information
easier. This site is a valuable resource for children and schools to
honor their grandparents. There are projects, advice, notes for
teachers and other things to see on this site.

Miriam Agron is an accomplished photographer whose credits varied and impressive.
Her work has appeared in Time, Newsweek, The New Republic, The New York
Times, The Los Angeles Times and many other publications. Miriam Agron
has taught at the University of California, Los Angles and California State
University, Northridge to name a few.
